2.8.4 upgrade

Apparently WordPress is under attack. As a result I was forced to upgrade despite my weeks of delaying. Here’s the story.

iPhone WP app

I just discovered the WordPress iPhone app that lets you post/blog/edit from your phone. The reason it has taken so long for me to discover is because I just couldn’t imagine typing on a keyboard that small for very long.

So, this represents the first post from iPhone.

2.8 version installed

WordPress ver. 2.8 has been installed successfully. What a relief.

I’m Back

If, per chance, you tried to get to this blog recently, you were met with a Fatal Error message.  That was the result of attempting to upgrade this blog to WordPress version 2.8 automatically.  Even though the auto upgrade worked fine on another blog (StarFire), it crashed on this one.

A few things happened during the down period.   Anne Flournoy’s short, The Louise Log #13 won a competition at New York’s channel Thirteen (you can view it at StarFire or here).

Meanwhile, #14 has been released:

Enjoy… Hopefully I’ll be back later today after I manually upgrade to version 2.8 (it’s supposed to be a security update as well as other things).

Autoupdate problem for 2.7.1 solved

Recently WP 2.7.1 was released and when I hit the autoupgrade, I kept getting a fatal error.

It turns out that I had to deactivate and then delete my auto upgrade plugin first.

The new version of WP comes with the autoupdate built in.

Upgraded to WordPress 2.6

Just a quick note, that I’ve upgraded the blog to WordPress 2.6.  For information on what that means, you can check it out here at the WordPress blog, and watch the video too!
