This is the older Biru Theme

Yes, it has served well for a couple of years.  I liked that it has a clean design.  There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles getting in the way.  Nothing to take away from the words… I know,… what words.  There was not a lot written.  It’s hard to write a lot when you’re whispering.:)

The other thing, is that it would never display photos where I placed them.  For example, the image of the Biru design is supposed to be on the left side of the screen.  But if I wanted it on the right side of the screen on the center of the screen, it would show up on the left side of the screen

The new theme is called Motion.  It is much more colorful, but it is also darker.  I kinda like it because it’s not bland but it’s not so dark that you can’t read it.  I don’t think it makes you depressed after reading and the controls for finding articles, make it easier for the reader to navigate the web site.

Interestingly, my spouse saw a mattress commercial on television the other day, in which the main actress looks very similar to our heroine, Louise (AKA Christine Cook).

I can’t remember the name of the mattress company but I will keep an eye out.

Let me know if you see the commercial. It ends with the line, “We don’t want a repeat of last year”. I would love to find out if that is her.

The “envelope photo” does not look altered in anyway.  It reminds me of our hidden everyday lives while we walk around dealing with our day to day encounters, placing a face over the turmoil inside.

Anyway, the thing with this app is that no one seems to know about it.  There is only one review.  If I place two photos here, without the program you would not know which has a secret picture/message and which does not.

In checking this little experiment, I found out that it only worked on my iPhone!!!  So, here is the photo that was inside:

At first I was watching the usual dreck like Family Feud, or Jeopardy or Wheel..Of..Fortune. After a while, however that gets boring. From there I went to the soap operas like One Life To Live, but the drama was just too dramatic (and silly), but I do check in once a week.

Now, I am into the Foodnetwork. I find this amazing because I have never had any notion of making my own food, let alone other peoples’. I love it, though. It’s the details that fascinate me. Who knew that you smashed garlic with a broad knife to peel it or the difference between slicing and chopping or that you could be approximate in cooking, but not in baking. And who knew that once you have the basics, it really is pretty easy.

I love this book!

the food/cooking section (This is a first time ever!!) and ended up purchasing a foodnetwork book entitled, How To Boil Water. For me, it answers so many of the basic questions I have about cooking, plus the recipes are easy for beginners. My wife (who doesn’t cook either) is even encouraging of my new interest.

Also, being able to control my food intake and have a closer assessment of my sodium, potassium, and phosphorus intake is great.

Winter Wind

It’s March first, and just when I thought I had made it through February (I’ve always believed it to be the worst month of the winter), here comes March like a lion.

We’re suppose to get at least 8 inches of snow by tomorrow!!! They are expecting we’ll get hit by a “megastorm” (The Weather Channel).

God, I feel depressed.

It turns out that I had to deactivate and then delete my auto upgrade plugin first.

The new version of WP comes with the autoupdate built in.
